Is an AED required for schools in Florida?
Under Florida Statute 1003.457, public schools, including charter schools, must have at least one operational AED on campus by July 1, 2027. The law also requires emergency response planning, appropriate staff training, AED maintenance records, and AED location registration with local EMS.
